04 Sep Nora Buri Koh Samui x Hug Thailand Trip
I had always heard that Koh Samui’s Nora Buri was a beautiful place but it wasn’t till I experienced it for myself that I discovered it’s charm and this I was not prepared for! From its picturesque hilltop ocean views to its stunning interiors, this resort was beyond inspiring in its attention to detail and care. Whether it be the buildings, the landscape, the restaurants, the poolside, the food – you name it – every element was mastered.
For those lovers of the relaxed and laid back lifestyle of Koh Samui, Nora Buri Resort & Spa is the perfect destination for you. Not only is it centrally located from the local shops, restaurants and entertainment of Chaweng it is only minutes away from the airport – a huge bonus!
A big thank you to Hug Thailand for helping make this trip one to remember!
We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to stay in Nora Buri’s ‘Pool Villa Beachside Seaview’, a stunning one-bedroom villa which, yes you guessed it, looked out onto a glistening seaside view. Perfectly blending contemporary living and traditional furnishing, its high ceilings and open space plan, gave this place a sense of grandeur. Waking up to the incredible view every morning from our bedroom, looking onto the sun kissed beachside and our private infinity pool was my favourite part! The bathroom was another interior treasure, shaped in a ‘C’ that hugged the main living room. The big barn doors led me straight to a bathtub which I took full advantage of as well as a closet and changing area. There was also a water closet and a big shower. However there was nothing quite like the rain shower outside, which allowed me to relax and connect with nature.
The beauty of our villa made leaving so hard – we just couldn’t get enough! Cocktails by the beach followed by a gourmet buffet dinner is another level of wow we were not ready for! Seafood, meat, vegetables, salads, desserts and the list goes on! I get hungry just thinking about it! With delicious food and cocktails in hand and the sound of waves crashing against a painted sunset, we sat under a beautiful pansy tree and took a moment to soak it all in.
Breakfast was no different in its splendour and variety, ranging from healthy options and exotic fruit this was definitely something I would look forward to every morning! (and also where I think I ate around 100 rambutans in 3 days).
Nora Buri also features a great array of resort facilities nestled amongst the 16 acre resort including a choice of dining venues and bars. Choose from buffet to a la carte menus, and international to traditional cuisine. Spoil yourself in the day spa with a rejuvenating treatment or two, laze by the pool with a cool drink in hand, or venture out to explore the local areas.
What I love most about this resort is its versatility and flexibility – you can do as much or as little as you please, the choice is yours!
Drinks and dinner at the Barge were a perfect end to evenings where we had been invited for a seafood buffet by the beach.
