05 Sep Renaissance Koh Samui x Hug Thailand Trip
The 3rd leg of our stay in Koh Samui with Hug Thailand was at the tranquil getaway of Renaissance Koh Samui Resort. Nestled on the beach of Lamai and a short scooter ride away from Chaweng, the place has a feel of hustle and bustle yet felt quiet and secluded.
Like the others, this resort was once again nothing far off impeccable with its warm hospitality and gorgeous architecture – it didn’t disappoint!
We walked past lush gardens filled with tropical trees and delicate flowers that covered the resort grounds as we were shown to our luxe villa. Who can say no to a private pool that overlooked the stunning communal pool and mesmerising view of the beach! Our rooms were spacious and plush, complete with a His and Her bathroom, perfect for a relaxing night after busy days out in the sun. Another thing we loved, the high speed wifi – talk about our modern day ‘needs’!
The water was crystal clear and knee deepth out to about 50 metres which made it feel safe and secure. The Kayaks and Paddleboards provided are the perfect way to enjoy these clam water and relax in the warm weather. Apart from the beach, we also experienced the resort pools and its signature spa, a great place to get pampered with their wide selection of treatments.
Food was another highlight and with so many options whether you were craving Thai to Western to Tapas style dishes, you would never go hungry! We didn’t have to go far for a drink whilst in the pool or sunbathing on the beach as the bar staff had our best interest at heart and were constantly making sure we were well hydrated. A cheeky little cocktail making course was also on offer which we found interesting and fun.
The Renaissance is truly the perfect getaway for couples, families and honeymooners. With its picturesque and dreamy landscape it is definitely high on my list of recommendations!
Another big thank you to Hug Thailand for helping make this trip one to remember!
Our second morning at Renaissance began with breakfast of course but not just on any old plate but rather a beautiful floating assortment of fruit, pancakes, eggs and the list goes on! We were well and truly spoilt but it is safe to say none of this food went to waste.
This was our mouth-watering lunch at Banana Boat. It is an international cuisine in a laid-back, all-day dining environment. We chose to have some traditional dishes, as well as some westernised styled dishes as well.
We were invited to tawaNN for a night of juicy, locally-sourced seafood along with delicious cocktails. Our four course traditional Thai dinner was individually selected for us and was delicious! tawaNN is the epitome of the Renaissance’s signature style and accompanied by sunset views from our table, nights here were truly magical.
